Why do you charge fees for cancellations?
We charge fees because our guides are in high demand. By booking them and then cancelling you may be putting them out of work that they otherwise would have been able to fill. There is also a lot of work that goes into booking and organizing groups.
What if All Aspects Alpine cancels the trip or course?
On rare occasion, AAA needs to cancel our trip due to extreme weather or avalanche conditions. The last thing we want to do is to put your safety at risk. We will do our best to reschedule on another date, provide a credit or reimburse you 40%.
Fitness and gear requirements.
In order to travel in the backcountry, you need to be fit enough to carry out a full 8 hour day of mountain travel. If you book privately, meaning your group is all together and friends then we can easily tailor the trip and speed to whatever your group needs. If you are unable to participate due to lack of fitness then you are not entitled to a refund. It is also expected that you show up with functioning gear. If your gear is not up to standard and does not function then you are not eligible for a refund. You will receive a list of gear requirements along with the registration form. Please make sure your gear is working before heading out on a course or a trip. It is possible to rent gear from Higher Ground Sports shop in Golden, or if in the Revelstoke area, Revelstoke Powder Rentals
Cancellation and Emergency Medical Insurance
All Aspects Alpine is pleased to recommend Trip Cancellation Interruption Insurance from Acera Insurance. At an approximate cost of 5% of the total cost of your trip, it is a bargain for your added peace of mind. Note that insurance should be purchased when you make your initial booking payment for your adventure. We recommend that visitors to Canada and Travelling Canadians out of their home province purchase Emergency Medical Insurance to protect against unexpected hospital and physician’s expenses if you have a medical emergency. This covers sudden and unexpected illness and injury and it includes air and ground ambulance/evacuation to the nearest medical facility. Please follow this link below for a quote for insurance coverage from our preferred provider Acera Insurance.
